Defibrillator saved an employee’s life
MEGGLE Slovakia has joined the ranks of companies that help save lives. In the summer of 2025, the company purchased and installed three automated external defibrillators (AEDs), which are registered with the emergency line. To date, more than 60 employees have been trained in first aid and the use of AEDs.
A few months after purchasing the AEDs, our employees found themselves in a situation where they had to show courage and solidarity. A normal work morning turned into a fight for the life of a colleague who suddenly collapsed in the company yard. Employees who were nearby did not hesitate to call the emergency number 112 and report the accident to the production assistants. Together, with the assistance of the Emergency Medical Service, they proceeded step by step, and after the first shock from the AED device, their colleague’s heart started beating again. The paramedics then took over the care of their colleague.
Thanks to the company management’s decision to purchase AED devices and the courageous employees, a human life was saved at a critical moment.
